Our first solo show in NY.
This body of work saw us travel to Northern Vietnam to hand paint porcelain vases, in the traditional way that they have been doing for centuries. Working only in blue oxides the work is a fun juxtaposition of old and new, contemporary stories painted in an ancient way.
Tattoo flash inspired artworks depict our adventures both in Brooklyn and Asia in an interplay of eastern meets western cultures. Meshing NY street pizza with Vietnamese opium dens and references to other Brooklyn locals like rats and skateboarding hotdogs. Traveling is a very big part of our inspiration and the adventures often inform the subject matter of the work.
